The Currency of Gratitude

Feeling Grateful for Mr Rogers

“If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.” – Fred Rogers

Mr Rogers appreciated the impact we each – individually – can have upon the world. Think for a moment how a kindness brightens your day; then reflect upon how much a kindness you extend could do the same for someone else. That’s what our gratitude project is all about… promoting and recognizing kindness and consideration. Because through gestures small and great, we create the reality in which we live.

While we’re on the subject of Fred Rogers, here’s an inspiring article about that “radical,” counterculture icon and his thoughts on being a good neighbor, whether you’re a child or an adult.

See the gentle man in action here, teaching how simple, yet impactful, it is to say, “Thank you,” and keep the circle of gratitude going.

We believe the world needs to follow Fred Rogers’ advice – be good neighbors, recognize the impact we can and do have upon others and remember to say, “Thank you.”
